I’m producing a movie in the action gaming space. The movie is launching as a web series, and you can see episode 1 of The Battle Below on YouTube. Most of my friends hear about this project and respond with great excitement. But one person actually blurted aloud, “What do you know about producing a movie?” I responded, “Nothing! But I just need to know how to write checks.”
Seriously, I hear pushback a lot because I don’t follow a traditional path. I toggle between the arts and business, between entrepreneurship and corporate, between work and family, always juggling disparate things simultaneously. It goes against the conventional wisdom of doing just one thing. But it works for me, so I keep on despite naysayers along the way.
Are you willing to put yourself out there and just be who you are, even if it doesn’t make obvious sense to people?
What is one thing you’ve wanted to do but are holding back on because you’re afraid of how it might be perceived?
Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else. - Judy Garland
What version of yourself are you putting forward?

Hell yes! Love this post. If you don’t put yourself out there – trust yourself that you can figure it out when you need to, then you’re short changing yourself and everyone else who can benefit from what you’ll learn from the ‘taking the leap’ experience!
Krystina, thanks for commenting. I’m glad the post resonated!
